Solidarity calendar for the fight against cancer

A few weeks ago my wife told me that she had sent photos of our children to a store, via Facebook, to see if they were taken to go out in a solidarity calendar that would be sold with the intention of obtaining funds that would go to keep fighting cancer.

The store was (is) Otta Kids, a shop that is in my city, which together with Lullaby, a photographer specialized in mothers and children, devised the creation of the aforementioned solidarity calendar, whose funds would go to the TV3 Marathon this year.

The story of how the project started and how it came true has seemed so beautiful to me (it shows that people still have humanity and that we continue to be supportive), that I wanted to talk about it in case you dare to buy the calendar for the cause.

Both shops devised the creation of the solidarity calendar and for this they involved some clothing brands (Yporqué, Bed Bug, Nice Things, Little Creative Factory, Suit Beibi, Moodstreet, Kidz Art, Tocotó Vintage, Monstres, Piu et Nau) to lend them the Costume that would be used in the photos. They called on customers and Facebook followers, explaining that they needed about 60 children to make models. They had two weeks ahead to get them and they came to doubt that it was possible.

Four days after posting the ad there were already 400 requests. The store's Facebool wall collapsed with hundreds of photos of boys and girls who wanted to help with the project, children from the city and surrounding areas, but also children who would come to Terrassa even from Valencia, Castellón and Guadalajara.

They also asked other businesses and other people for collaboration and the response was incredible: stores that offered their space and other props, libraries, motorcycles, vans, swimming pools with lifeguards, horses, sisters who became stylists and hairdressers for the occasion, an advertising agency that offered to make the design, musical instruments and even the transfer of an original Mini, among other things.

The calendar became a few days ago and 70 children participated in it (among which my children were not, sniff) and, despite having been hard work, everyone was happy with the result, happy for the time that have passed and shared and hoped that this grain of sand can be achieved, as one of the mottos of the Marathon says, that the end of life is death, but not cancer.

If you want to get there, there are several physical stores in Terrassa and surroundings where you can get it, and many others online. Where I have seen it right away (in the others I have not found it) is in Monstres, the page of monstrous clothes that we talked about a year ago.
