Wants to be inspiration for other children with disabilities

Sara was born in China ten years ago, and was adopted by a marriage from the United States when she was six years old. The little girl was born without hands, and in order to improve her quality of life, her parents offered her the possibility of making adapted prostheses. But she rejected it.

And is that despite her young age, Sara is very clear about what she wants and is determined, independent and eager to improve herself every day.

And this effort and dedication has earned him the Nicholas Maxim National Award 2019 for the best calligraphy, which is awarded every year to a student with cognitive retardation or intellectual, physical or developmental disability.

The prize is valued at 500 euros, but beyond the economic amount, Sara is happy for the achievements and hopes that your experience can inspire other children with disabilities.

Little great heroes

It is not the first case of overcoming and fighting that we echo in Babies and More. And there are many small great heroes that surprise us every day with their exploits and their ability to overcome!

Some time ago we met the case of this baby, who despite being born without arms has learned to use her feet as an aid to overcome her disability; or from this 18-year-old boy who manufactured a prosthesis for his arm with Lego pieces.

Another story that moved us was that of little Noah, who was born with a spinach and severe hydrocephalus, but has never given up, and thanks to his tenacity and the unconditional support of his family he has managed to go far.

And more recently we met Manu, a small nine-year-old sportsman with leg prostheses who plays soccer, swimming and practicing athletics like any other child his age.

Great stories starring great heroes who despite their young age, offer us valuable lessons and inspire us to fight for our dreams. Because with willpower and determination there are no excuses!
