'What can I eat?', A very useful app for children with food allergies or celiac

When one or more family members are allergic or intolerant to certain foods, you have to be very cautious when shopping, go to a restaurant or eat anywhere else away from home.

To help us in this regard we can count on 'What can I eat?' a very useful application for children with food allergies or celiac which offers us a complete list of foods of all kinds free of allergens.

What can i eat? It is available for Android devices and incorporates a very easy to use search engine (even children can do it) with no less than 12,000 products from 740 different brands divided into 27 food categories and a catering category, to help also when eating out of House.

You can search for three different ways: by category, by brand or by entering the text making the search yield the food that can be consumed according to the parameters we have established. It also includes a barcode scanner that you can go through the product to check if it is suitable for consumption. Very practical not to waste time when we make the purchase.

At the moment, it includes the allergens required by the European Directive to indicate on the label: gluten, milk, egg, soy, peanut, nuts, fish, molluscs, crustaceans and celery in addition to others such as lactose and latex. In the coming months it will be extended to fructose or sorbitol, diabetics and vegans. In addition, discount codes will be incorporated for use at points of sale.

I think it can be very useful for families with children affected by any food allergy or intolerance, which represent between 6 percent and 8 percent of the child population.
