LEGO Cuusoo is going to be called LEGO Ideas

When we were invited to the offices of LEGO to participate in the celebration of his 40 years in Spain, we were anticipated that LEGO Cuusoo was going to be called very soon LEGO ideas. And here is the news, that the LEGO Ideas platform has just been launched and that all the previous functionality is maintained even if they change the interface and incorporate some new features. From this new environment they encourage us to register, to participate, to vote and to enjoy the fan experiences of this powerful global brand.

We remember that LEGO Ideas, before Cuusoo, is that any person, once registered, can present their projects. The challenge to overcome is to receive more than 10,000 votes from the community. If it succeeds, LEGO studies the possible launch of the product to the market and also the author of the idea can receive up to a 1% of sales achieved. In addition this type of initiatives, called crowdsourcing, help to loyalty to the fans of the brand, drives the renewal of the products, offers brand awareness and especially boosts virality by making use of social networks among members of the network. LEGO Cuusoo started in 2008 only in Japan although immediately jump worldwide and now LEGO aims to participate and promote this interesting community.

Among the novelties of LEGO Ideas is that the projects have one year to reach 10,000 supports which offers more than enough time to decide whether the proposal succeeds or not.

In the image that illustrates the article you can see one of the ideas for LEGO to do, it is The Big Bang Theory. On the page you can see what is the process that follows the approved idea and that basically consists in that LEGO must evaluate the feasibility and give time to the manufacturing departments to get the total set. It seems to me a proposal, in particular, very funny and sure that by collecting it ensures a great sales success. Let's see what is decided in the end.

For now congratulations to LEGO Ideas and we hope it will be a great space for creativity of the fans that also allows them to have an economic reward.
