Tits no, but abuse of a baby can appear on Facebook

We already know that a complaint is enough for the popular social network to censor videos in which a mother breastfeeds her baby or a breast is seen: that is obscene. But If what appears in the video is the abuse of a baby, it can appear on Facebook.

A video that I have not been able to see (except a few seconds that have crumbled me), with raw images that show the beating that a woman gives a helpless baby of a few months, while another woman records it without acting and a child watches the scene unchanged, probably because it seems too familiar.

A user has repeatedly denounced the video for containing violence (and we don't know if other people will have done it), but this is the response message that Facebook has received many other occasions:

This video has not been deleted. Thank you for your interest in reporting something that you believe violates our community rules. Complaints like yours have an important function in turning Facebook into a safe and welcoming environment. We have reviewed the video you have reported for containing graphic violence, but it does not violate our our Community Standards.

The user who shares the video, of Indonesian origin, is not the aggressor, rather she seems to have put it on her profile to report the fact. So it is not about blocking or deleting your profile, but about deleting the video for its content.

And following this we ask ourselves: Is it lawful to spread such raw images? Where did they come from? Shouldn't they be used to be investigated by the Commission on Human Rights? To really try with the Google translator to decipher the Indonesian comments doesn't help much…

But after all what worries us most is not that Facebook considers the images to be "normal" (which is still outrageous, especially if we compare it with other "free" content) or do not infringe any code to in spite of show obvious abuse. But there are events like that with total impunity for helpless babies and children.

And surely a giant like the social network can do something with its influence so that the images are taken into account and something is done about it. They are just a small sample of the abuse that thousands of children suffer every day in the world, I know. But should we remain impassive before her? It has been impossible for me.
