Jelly worms for Halloween night

If you want an event to be a success and take worldwide fame, put sweets (with one or two kilos may suffice), face paint (several boats), costumes (better the more fear they give) and a whole week of preparations with the smaller (and patience, a lot of patience) and of course a night of witches, ghosts and other monsters.

Today I bring you a recipe to make your own sweets and of course, these dates could not be other than Jelly worms for Halloween night.

Ingredients

100 plastic straws (They can be 99), of those that can be folded, that make a better effect. An empty milk carton (and clean) or any similar pot to hold the straws. I advise you to be about the size of the straws to prevent them from tipping in the process. A packet of strawberry jelly, Raspberry or any other flavor depending on your taste in annelids. If you prefer to eat another type of "worms" instead of earthworms, that to the taste of the consumer, I am only the messenger. 3 packages of neutral jelly 3/4 liter (3 cups) of boiling water. Eye that burns! And we don't want people to be only disguised as mummies. 175ml milk cream (3/4 cup) for putting something half healthy in the sweets. From 12 to 15 drops of green dye. If you do not like green because you have at home and if you do not have any, you can use paella dye. But, under no circumstances do you use Fairy as attractive as your green looks. Wax paper, that one that does not stick.

Preparations or setting

Here already according to what you feel like messing with the kids. But you can decorate the kitchen as a laboratory of sorcerers and magicians, with cobwebs, bugs and stickers that you will surely find in the whole one hundred of the corner. Wait until it is night and place small lamps covered with sheets or cobwebs. The idea is to give a dark atmosphere to the room but can see that it is what we make clear, that it is not a plan to end up injured.

To finish off We can dress up as witches, wizards, goblins or whatever you can think of.

You will see what experience!

Let's do it

Step 1. Combine the jellies in a bowl with the boiling water, removed until they dissolve completely and let the mixture temper. Those from the north can recite the Santa Compaña conxuro to give it an atmosphere. Superstitious skip the conxuro.

Step 2. While the "potion" is tempered we will stretch the straws, yes, 100. We will put them in the previous container and hold them together with a rubber band. This step can be done by the rest of kitchen pinches.

Step 3. Carefully mix the milk cream and the dye with the warm gelatin mixture and pour it into the bowl until the straws are filled.

Step 4. Now we will cool the straws until the jelly becomes consistent, about eight hours at least or leave them in the fridge for 2 days.

At this point and taking advantage that we have the set we can do two things: prepare other types of recipes, such as these edible monsters for dinner or these pumpkins. Or, you can make half of the recipe a couple of days before and at this point you simply put the ones you just made in the fridge, take out the already prepared ones and follow the next point.

Step 5. Once our "worms" have cooled, we remove the straws and put them under the hot water, about four or five at a time, for a few moments to soften them a little. Then we will press with the fingers starting from the end that is empty, until the "earthworm" leaves the inside of the straw.

Once we are done with the 99 pajito-worms We put them to cool until we need them. Remember that the spell will keep our worms whole for two hours at room temperature, from that point they are likely to become something similar to the vampire brain mass. By imagination it won't be, right?
