A great Halloween party marks the start of the 2013 course in Faunia

Faunia opens the new 2013-2014 academic year with an extensive educational program to schools and individuals loaded with news that will officially start with the celebration of Halloween in Faunia on October 31, 2013 for children from 6 years. And it is that from 5 pm to midnight, the registered participants, from 6 years old, will take a tour full of surprises through the most enigmatic thematic areas where the animals of the night live.

The adventure It will begin between toucans, saimiris monkeys and marmosets, in La Jungla and then you will access the Poison Pavilion where a workshop of arachnids and reptiles awaits you where you will meet live some of the deadliest animals on the planet of their caregivers. The night route will continue in Silent Shadows between ocelots, anteaters, electric eels, bats and some of the crepuscular species that wake up when the sun goes down increasing their activity to the astonishment of those who observe them.

Halloween in Faunia will reward the creativity of the participants who come with the best pumpkins decorated at home. The lemurs will join the party in the African Forest showing their enormous weakness for them.

The suspense will remain until the end of the night when the celebration of Halloween moves to the depths of underground Mysteries where a passage of terror, suitable for children, will welcome its participants and serve as a presentation card to the Animal characters that hide in the darkness of the caves like the mole rat, the invisible frog or the Fiji's iguana. At midnight's edge, Faunia's charm will be broken and the participants will return home.

Coinciding with the All Saints Bridge The visiting public will be invited to learn about the particular Halloween party in the African Forest where, through the enrichment of pumpkins for lemurs, we can witness the tastes of these friendly animals. The talks in the African Forest and enrichment with lemurs for the general public will be offered on November 1, 2 and 3, through free educational talks, at 2:30 p.m.

And on the occasion of this holiday, the stage of Underground Mysteries will take center stage with a renewed aspect. An educational guide will reveal to the visitor, the animals that hide in these caves such as the vacant crocodile, the garden eel or the axolotl, a strange amphibian capable of self-regenerating.

The activity of Halloween in Faunia will be held on October 31, 2013 with a price of 33 euros and with the following agenda:

  • 5:00 p.m. Reception of children.
  • 5:30 p.m. Visit to the Jungle, Poison, Silent Shadows and African Forest. Halloween pumpkins workshop for lemurs.
  • 8:30 p.m. Dinner.
  • 9:30 p.m. Passage of terror and tales of fear in Underground Mysteries.
  • 24:00 End of the adventure
