'Diego in the bottle': a sweet and magical tale that explains the story of a child with autism

Mar Pavón is a writer who was clear about what would be older than 13, and judging from her career one could say that a well-deserved place has been made in the world of children's literature, through her literary work, writing and visiting schools and libraries. Mar gives in each of his works the best of himself... reading any of his children's stories you can check.

The cover of 'Diego in the bottle' (and inside the book, of course) has been illustrated by Roger Olmos through drawings that convey his good work while helping to explain the story, and they reach us full of magic. This story has been edited by Edebé: it is a story that tells with great naturalness, humor and large doses of magical realism, the day to day of a child suffering from a generalized developmental disorder related to the autistic spectrum, as well as the tensions that this generates around them.

Diego was already born in the bottle, but apparently his parents never had time to help him improve his communication with the outside until they made a hole in his agenda and took him to Dr. C. Rajera. Meanwhile he and his bottle seemed inseparable.

It is indicated for children from 6 years, but, in all sincerity, I think it can be enjoyed at any age, provided that our mentality is free from prejudices

From there it was all easier, and this expert was specialized in complicated cases. The tools he used to provisionally remove the child from his bottle were patience, affection and empathy.

The whole family (including the two older brothers of our protagonist) have a lot of understanding, and the hole in the parents' agenda has become a black hole, but the most important thing is the child's well-being.

The passage through a school of special education, the development until becoming adolescent (rebel, like all) and the events that cause the definitive change, I leave them for you. Read it because you will not regret it.

Thanks to Edebé for sending us this book so we can read it, and tell you.
