What nanny or song hums your children to fall asleep?

Yesterday you could read the lyrics of the oldest known lullaby and in that post I told you that many parents continue with the tradition of singing to our children to fall asleep, but replacing the traditional nanas with songs with less threatening lyrics, because if you remember, in many of them appeared the wolf, the coconut or similar things.

My mother already skipped this from the nannies to the bullfighter because she decided to sing us a song by Antonio Machín entitled “Little Black Angels”, whose lyrics I know almost complete because I remember her singing to my little brothers, and I am not that I have chosen a specific one, but if I had to say which one I have sung the most, it is certainly “Falling Slowly“By Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, who belongs to the soundtrack of the movie Once and which you can listen to next.

Before hearing it, go thinking what lullaby or song do you hum to your children to fall asleep, because in the end I will ask you again (teacher phrase, huh?).

I met the song when I saw the movie and from that moment I began to listen to the records of The Frames, the group in which the actor and lead singer sings. The soundtrack of the film is beautiful. I liked it so much that I even looked for the chords of the guitar songs and more than once I sang them to my children.

Falling Slowly is the song that Aran slept with strolling down the street in a stroller, at that age when it was not possible to sleep in his arms because he was older, he was small to not take a nap, but he did not fall asleep if you did not take him out to the street.

Now, when I try to calm Guim in my arms, it is this same song that I sing or hum to him. With Jon the thing was different, because we pulled CD and "No woman, no cry" by Bob Marley, so that with the reggae children fall asleep before (let you know).

Now I ask: What nanny or song hums your children to fall asleep?
