Facebook censures the photo of a mother breastfeeding her baby

It is not the first time that breastfeeding images are censored, nor the first time Facebook does. In fact, following successive censures in this social network, the Hey Facebook platform, breastfeeding is not obscene! The latest news comes from Chile where it has been known that Facebook has censored the photo of a mother breastfeeding her baby, and has even deleted your profile.

The censored mother is the Chilean psychologist Leslie Power Labbé, an expert in child development, one of the founders of Espacio Crianza and promoter of the Citizen Movement for a postnatal of 6 full months in Chile.

First he received an email from Facebook announcing that his photo was considered offensive and that it violated the company's conditions of use. And then your account has been closed for having a "photo that threatens people and groups." The image is the one you see above, in which Leslie is breastfeeding her three-month-old baby. I do not know what you will say but I see absolutely nothing wrong. Can anyone consider this photo offensive? Can it be equated with a photo of a nude?

Apparently someone has thought about it. Well, they have decided to remove their profile from the social network. Leslie's companions believe that behind the censorship there are political reasons, since the maternity leave of 6 months was within the package of measures promised by Piñera as a candidate and that so far as president has not complied.

Anyway, for whatever reason, it is totally foolish that Facebook censor the photo of a mother breastfeeding.

However, today I looked for the psychologist in the social network and her profile is active and with the questioned profile photo, although without publications since January 31, date on which the account is supposed to have been canceled. It may have been restored, it is a possibility. There is no doubt that the platform asking for a maternity leave for six months has had good publicity with this matter. Hopefully it achieves its mission.
