Children's films 2019: the most anticipated releases

Year after year, the film industry arrives with new releases for the whole family, telling us stories full of great stories and adventures that make us experience endless emotions. And next year will not be the exception.

From new characters, to the return of some classics that already have a place in our hearts, we will soon see new stories on the big screen. We share you the most anticipated premieres of children's films for 2019.

LEGO 2

After closing the Christmas season full of incredible films for the whole family, we begin the premieres of 2019 in the month of February, with the arrival of the sequel to 'The LEGO movie'. After the success of the first film, which won several awards for the best animated film, its protagonists return to the big screen, who will now be threatened by a group of invaders from outer space.

It opens in February 2019.

How to train your dragon 3

The popular animated franchise 'How to train your dragon' comes to an end this year, closing with this third film. According to our colleagues in Espinof, the last part of this trilogy promises to deliver an emotional farewell high to Hipo and Despot.

Captain Marvel

The film presents the origins of Captain Marvel, who is recruited by the elite Starforce military team with which Carol Danvers (her real name) will end up in an intergalactic war between two alien races. The film, starring Brie Larson (Danvers) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Furia), has as directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (The Last Bet).

Dumbo

Many were surprised when we learned that a remake of the children's classic would be made 'Dumbo' and also, that this one would be directed by Tim Burton. However, after watching the final trailer, we can say that this new version with that cute elephant and its big ears will be the same or even more emotional than the original movie.

The magic park

A Spanish animated film that promises to tell us a great story is 'The Magic Park', which tells the story of June, a girl who while exploring one day through the forest, discovers the entrance to an amusement park with talking animals.

The March 15, 2019 in the United States and April 12 in Spain.

Toy Story 4

24 years after the first 'Toy Story' movie was released and our hearts were stolen, the toys return to the big screen for a fourth installment, in which now it seems to be the end of this saga that many of us grew up with and that we now enjoy and continue to revive next to our children.

According to actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, who give voice to Woody and Buzz Lightyear respectively, 'Toy Story 4' it will have a historical end and they recommend that we go prepared with scarves.

It opens on June 21, 2019 in the United States and is expected I arrived in Spain and Mexico in July of the same year.

Detective Pikachu

In a world where humans and Pokémon characters live in harmony, the tender and witty detective Pikachu joins a 21-year-old young man named Tim, in order to help him find his father, a famous detective who mysteriously disappeared. In recent years we have seen that Disney has released several real-action remakes of his classic and famous films, and certainly one like 'Aladdin' could not be missed. With Will Smith in the role of Genius, the movie promises to honor the original story, but with new songs, with music by Alan Menkel, the famous composer of the soundtrack of other famous Disney films such as 'The Little Mermaid', 'Beauty and the Beast', and the same animated version of 'Aladdin'.

Pets 2

This next 2019 comes the second part of a fun movie that showed us the secret life that pets have when their owners leave home and leave them alone. Now, 'Pets 2' shows us in his first trailer that we will see a part that is not very pleasant for them: the visit to the veterinarian.

The Lion King

This 2019 apparently will be the year in which we will see the most Disney remakes, being 'The Lion King' the third production they will present in addition to 'Dumbo' and 'Aladdin'. Some time ago the actors who will give voice to Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Scar and the rest of the characters, among which are the actors Donald Glover, James Earl Jones and the singer Beyoncé. The film will include four of the songs we met in the animated version of 'The Lion King', including "The cycle of life" and "Hakuna Matata".

Dora the explorer

Another character that we can see in 2019 adapted to the real action, will be that of the famous 'Dora the explorer', who will be played by Isabela Moner, and who has already given us an image in her role as the curious girl who has great adventures with her monkey Boots.

Playmobil: The Movie

The popular line of plastic toys will also make the leap to the big screen, where it will tell the story of Marla, a girl who is transported to the magical world of Playmobil in the search for his brother Charlie and where he will meet unique characters.

Frozen 2

Finally, we close 2019 with which is probably the most anticipated sequel in recent years: Frozen 2. Although we have seen some short films where we meet again with Elsa, Anna and Olaf, not much is known about the sequel to the movie that gave us unforgettable songs and that to date we cannot get out of our heads.

There are many rumors about the plot of this new Frozen, which by the way, it will be the first sequel to a Disney princess movie that opens in the cinema, because other second parts have gone straight to video and DVD.

Star Wars: Episode IX

The saga will return to theaters at the end of the year with a new episode directed by J.J. Abrams and qualified as the end of the Skywalker saga. We will have to wait until December.
