The Spaniards walked a little

According to data from the Spanish Society for the Study of Obesity (SEEDO), sedentary lifestyle is the order of the day, we are many more hours in front of television, up to 218 minutes a day, instead of doing something as healthy as walking ( only 171 minutes per week).

This is something that helps children become more obese, because of a sedentary lifestyle, we must bear in mind that children often imitate parents.

If we also add the amount of minutes spent sitting with other types of activities, sedentary lifestyle is total. Obesity is the result of a combination of factors, including little walking.

Taking a walk with the children benefits your health and that of your children, not to mention that it is a way to establish stronger ties in the family, to focus attention on other much healthier and less individualistic aspects. You have to get out of those statistics that reflect that the Spaniards walked a little and establish those healthy standards in our children. The highest levels of overweight and obesity, according to these studies, usually occur in childhood and maturity, while adolescents, who are usually exposed to more heterodox nutritional habits such as soda or fast food, are the ones who suffer the least these evils due to the higher level of physical activity and the less time they devote to television.

So, it is best to go out daily, at least for a little while, for a walk with your children, you will benefit and they will also appreciate it. Do you usually take walks with your children?
