Homemade toys

Sometimes we spend fortunes on toys full of lights and sounds, and then our children are more entertained with an empty bottle or hiding inside a box.

With a little inventiveness and simple elements that we find in all things we can make them homemade toys like these that you will surely love.

  • An empty bottle filled with marbles, chickpeas or pebbles can be an entertaining rattle for the little ones. Be sure to seal the lid tightly to avoid accidents.

  • The kitchen objects: pans, ladles, wooden spoons or skimmers attract them a lot and they will have fun putting together an orchestra of sounds.

  • Empty yogurt containers are very clean, and if you take care to decorate them, they can be excellent pieces of a construction set.

  • A shoe box with a hole in the lid can be used to store treasures.

  • A pile of old magazines that we don't use anymore are ideal for viewing photos and for developing their manual skills by destroying them.

  • With a roll of kitchen paper for the trunk and four rolls of toilet paper for arms and legs decorated with fibers we can make a cardboard doll.

Of course, do not offer items that may be dangerous or toxic, or that the baby can swallow.
