Covada syndrome: pregnant dads

If your partner wants to eat that fruit impossible to get out of season as much as you; or suddenly it accompanies you with some nauseous solidarity during pregnancy you might have “The Covada Syndrome”. Term from the French couver (hatching) and is called an ancient ritual of some primitive cultures. It was that the men kept a bed after the birth of the son and simulated the pain of the parturient.

Some men feel discomfort during their partner's pregnancy: nausea vomiting, loss of appetite, cravings, headaches, backaches, insomnia and temporary weight gain that may appear at any time during pregnancy and usually disappear after the birth of the baby. Some may even feel abdominal cramps and chest pain during the birth of their wife.

And it is clear that we speak of ordinary men who have no delusions of being pregnant. Some specialists declare that these men feel so associated with the physical problems of mothers who experience the same type of discomfort. Others claim that Covada Syndrome resembles the symptoms of common anguish, when the future father is concerned about changes in the relationship, the birth of the child, financial income and other issues related to paternity.

The truth is that during pregnancy there is an approach to the couple, an emotional connection and the shared desire to be parents. Pregnancy is a matter of two.
