Courtney and Eric Waldrop have formed a super large family with a total of nine childrenBut getting it has not been an easy road. They went through several miscarriages before their first child was born. They then resorted to fertility treatments, which led to the birth of the Wales and Bridge twins.
Later they wanted to continue enlarging the family, but she suffered another miscarriage so they decided to go back to a fertility treatment. They got a big surprise to discover not only that I was pregnant, but that they expected sextuplets. After birth, they wanted to pay tribute and asked photographer Ashley Sargent to make them a beautiful photo shoot of the six babies with rainbow colors.
Six rainbow babies
As you know, rainbow babies are the ones who arrive after a loss. They are babies born after an abortion, a baby born without life or the death of a baby shortly after birth.
The pregnancy of a rainbow baby is very special from an emotional point of view, since the joy for the new pregnancy is mixed with the fears that may appear after having suffered a gestational loss.
More special is even a pregnancy of six rainbow babies, which adds to the complexity and high risk of pregnancy. That is why when the six brothers arrived in the world perfectly healthy, the parents felt very fortunate to finally have the family they dreamed so much about.
Ashley Sargent Photography To celebrate the joy of birth, Ashley thought about photographing the six babies, each wrapped in a different color of the rainbow. Although the rainbow has seven colors, it has been a beautiful idea, because they are also placed in order of birth.
The first to be born was Blu, whom we see in red, followed by Layke in orange and Rawlings in yellow. Then, the room to be born, Rayne, is wrapped in green and Tag in blue. The last to be born, Rivers, in purple.
The sextuplets today
Babies were born in December with 30 weeks gestation. After a few weeks admitted to the hospital ICU, they went home with their three older brothers and their parents. Today we can see how well they have grown and how precious they are to their five months.
