The moving story of Alexis, the girl nobody went to her birthday and that has become a symbol of solidarity

Since last year, December 12 is a special day in Texas (United States) thanks to little Alexis, a girl with alopecia caused by an autoimmune disease which has removed the hearts and consciences of hundreds of people with its history.

Last year, Alexis celebrated his sixth birthday but none of his friends showed up to the party. His mother's complaint posted on Facebook was a before and after for the little girl and her family, who never imagined that so many people could show her affection in the way they did.

Last year, nobody went to his birthday

Alexis was excited about her sixth birthday He had decided to celebrate on a skating rink surrounded by all his friends. And the day came: on December 12 of last year. Everything was ready to receive Alexis' 17 guests, all classmates.

But that was when The girl's heart broke into a thousand pieces when checking that none of the guests attended his party. Alexis spent the whole afternoon looking around, worried if something had happened to his friends and waiting for them to appear at any moment.

His mother, broken with pain, commented on her Facebook profile what happened without even imagining the wave of solidarity that would wake up that heartbreaking message:

"Today was a sad day for Alexis. We celebrated his sixth birthday at the skating rink and invited his 17 of his classmates, but not one of his friends showed up."

"We made a cake with her and enjoyed the family day. But she was still" worried about her classmates ", looking in all directions and watching other children play and celebrate their birthdays surrounded by friends. I didn't know what to say except that sometimes, parents, we are too busy ... "

The message quickly went viral and was shared by almost 600 people, until caught the attention of a man that despite not knowing Alexis or his family, he felt so moved by what the girl had to live that he decided to take action.

A party in style

That man decided to open an event on Facebook in order to offer Alexis a Surprise birthday party, And wow he got it!

"When I learned that this family had spent hours waiting for a guest to appear at her daughter's birthday party, as a father I knew what they had to feel. I want Alexis to smile and know that many people love her, even without knowing her , because she is a special girl "

He planned a big party for the girl, with 800 guests from various parts of the city, who only they wanted to show their support for the little girl and enjoy with her a party she would never forget.

Alexis' party seems like it has already become a tradition in Texas, and this year it has been repeated again but this time with even more supportive dyes if possible, because the little girl has decided to donate to the children of an orphanage in her city all the gifts and toys they have made.

In addition, Alexis has met a girl who suffers the same illness as her and has turned to her new friend to help her overcome her fears, as her mother explained on Facebook:

"Yesterday I met the father of this girl, who also suffers from alopecia and lost her hair in March. When they arrived at the party today, the girl was a little scared so I went to look for Alexis and introduced her. the day I saw them playing together and carefree, throwing snowballs. I watched them with the greatest of smiles. The children are amazing, they are souls with big hearts willing to give to others "

It is not the first time that we echo this kind of stories that by reading them they break our hearts to recompose it next. As a mother, I think I have an idea of the pain so great that Alexis' family had to live when no children went to their birthday party. But what happened next makes me reconcile with the world and don't forget that There are people able to do their best to see a child smile.
