In Spain there are already several future Mother of Dragons: 23 girls are called Daenerys

It is clear that when choosing the name for the children, there are many couples who follow the trends of the moment and are inspired not only in fashion singers (in Spain there are 270 girls called Chenoa), but also in actors or actresses and even in fictional characters.

A sample of this is the rage that the series Game of Thrones He has been waking up for years throughout the world, which is leading many parents to register their children with the name of a character. In Spain, for example, there are already several future Dragon Mothers, and that is that there are already 23 girls called Daenerys.

From 20, they appear in the National Statistics Institute

We have learned about this thanks to a tweet by Pablo OrtizdeZárate @portizdezarate, who has attached a photo of the search he has done on the page of the National Statistics Institute. On that page, anyone can enter the name they want and do a search in which they will see the number of people in Spain that have that name, as well as the average age of those people.

As you will see below, we have done the same as Paul, there are 23 girls named Daenerys, and have a mean age of 1.9 years, so they are all still very small (they probably don't know yet that they can be mothers of dragons):

We do not know since when the name appears in the statistics, but it should not do much, because it is not until they become 20 people who have a name, which begins to appear in searches.

There are also many Aryas

Suspecting that the same thing could be happening with other names, we have decided to do other searches, and we have observed that there is nothing less than 124 girls by the name of Arya (The average age is 1.5 years). There are also many Jon, but it is impossible to know how many come from the taste for Jon Snow, because it is a name that in Spain already existed before (my oldest son, for example, is called Jon and is 10 years old).

This trend was also seen a few years ago in other countries, when they noticed a considerable increase in girls called Khaleesi in the United States and Arya in the United Kingdom.
