A girl with plagiocephaly receives the most beautiful corrective helmet decorated by a Disney team

The arrival in the world of Emma Janes, in April 2015, did not have a good start. He was born with respiratory difficulties, spent a week in the ICU and because of a genetic disorder has developmental problems.

In addition, as they grew older they observed a deformity in their head known as plagiocephaly. To correct it, his pediatrician indicated that he should wear an orthopedic helmet and soon received the most beautiful concealer helmet decorated by a Disney team.

Plagiocephaly or flat head is a cranial malformation that affects more and more babies, caused by resting with the head always resting on the same side. It produces a cranial deformity, facial asymmetry and misaligned ears. If the malformation is very pronounced, it can leave very serious consequences, so it is essential to know the disease and, above all, to prevent it.

The treatment, although not in all cases is recommended, is to use an orthopedic helmet to correct the deformity, but the helmets are quite bulky and are not exactly beautiful, so sometimes children are subject to teasing and cruel glances.

Emma was lucky that her aunt is a Disney worker, and when discussing her niece's case with her coworkers, two team members pledged to help her. They designed a unique helmet for Emma inspired by the theme of Frozen.

This painting of the cases so that the children feel happy to take them also does Paula Strawn, a Californian artist whom a friend, horrified by the helmet that her son should wear, suggested that she decorate corrective helmets for babies and does it with An incredible result.
