A woman from Thailand was the rental belly of an Australian couple and in the process she gestured to two twin girls. One with Down syndrome and heart disease and the other healthy. The impressive thing, what it shows the most bitter and selfish face of the process, is that when the two girls were born the couple stayed with the healthy girl leaving her sister with the rental mother.
According to El Mundo, as soon as it was learned that the woman was gestating two sisters and that one of them had Down syndrome, marriage asked to have an abortion. The woman refused, the girls were born and the couple was left alone with the healthy girl.
Everything was managed by an intermediary agency. On the one hand there was the Australian couple who paid to have a baby and on the other Pattaramon Chanbua, a 21-year-old woman who works in a kitchen, mother of two children of six and three years. Apparently he has many debts and, when a mediator suggested winning 10,000 euros in exchange for a baby's pregnancy could not refuse, because with that you could pay for your children's education and pay off debts.
Now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs investigates the case, since the couple has not yet been identified and the only data that is known comes from the woman who gestured the babies, since the intermediary agency has not ruled.
When the story is made public, many Australians have offered to adopt the girl, whose name is Gammy. In addition, a campaign called Hope for Gammy has already raised $ 202,000, exceeding today the 200,000 needed, because it urgently needs a heart intervention that women cannot afford.
