Unbearable situations: the nap
It is curious how life changes us and what we now know as one of the greatest pleasures of summer was considered in our childhood at the height of the worst punishments, I speak of that national sport that is practiced all year, but even more so in summer , that small pleasure among the pleasures called nap and that has its glorious moment if it comes just after having been able to enjoy one of those oviparous meals, which reduce your entire vital system to minimums that touch the catatonia. Few pleasures can be compared to a stolen nap in the summer afternoons.
But this was not always the case, before knowing each other in paradise we went through all the possible hells that a child and future teenager can imagine. Surely the same thing happened to more than one and remember that feeling of absolute summer tedium, which was surrounded by a symphony of snoring and singing, for calling them somehow, of chicharras, in an atmosphere whose temperature probably touched that of the kitchen from hell.
Without being able to see anything interesting on TV, remember that at that time there was no child programming at all times like now, without being able to bathe, which has left me an indelible mark of hatred of the phrase "digestion" and the like, without to make noise and ultimately, being able to do nothing at all. Is greater hell possible for a child?
And you will say, can you have read a book? And that did, once I grew clear. Because with four, five, six years, reading, at least in my case, was no match for a good episode of "the Clowns on TV" or to be able to fill the plasticine room. The love of reading would come years later, but the few illusions to read me with 40 degrees to spare are still very much alive, even today.
The fact is that today I give thanks because my children have a strange mutation that we call the tse-tse gene that keeps them falling into the deepest of the Catatonias shortly after having given a good account of the dessert.
