Ludomecum, the toy vademecum

We have already told you that we should ask ourselves many questions before buying a toy, and some of them can get an answer in the search engine that we are talking about below. Making a pun on the "vademecum", we have the "Ludomecum" website, in which more than 1,500 toys are collected ordered by pedagogical criteria in several search engines.

It aims to be a tool for fathers and mothers, teachers, educators and all those interested in the world of games and toys and their importance in the development of children. That is why it focuses on educational toys, and offers different types of search.

We can search for toys by selecting between nine age groups and type of game, development areas or curricular areas involved. The universal search can be done through four different fields:

  • Toy Name
  • Manufacturer's name (includes more than 40 different brands)
  • Type of toy (sensory and movement games, imitation, artistic, construction ...).
  • Age range to which it is addressed.

Each toy is reviewed by means of a card where, in addition to being described in detail, it is classified according to the criteria of age group to which it is addressed, its typology, the abilities it stimulates in children and its most appropriate use in the school curriculum.

In addition to do the search in Ludomecum, this toy vademecum, do not miss our review of the recommended toys for each age or the Guide to quality games and toys and all the tips that we often bring you about games for kids.
