Pokebees: more and more newborns are named after Pokémon

There were already fanatical parents of these characters, but following the launch of the new Pokémon Go game, the fever has risen again. The pokemonmania has done that more and more newborns bear names of Pokémon, both of the new version of the game and the previous versions.

The Babycenter website is registering through a survey the names that parents plan to put or have put their babies, and the trend is rising, especially in English-speaking countries. Names like Eevee, Roselia and Onyx they are gaining popularity among girls, while for boys the ones that sound the most are Ash, Ivy and Shay. They are also inspired by names like Pikachu, Bulbasaur and Charmander.

With the Pokémon fever that is invading the world, it is expected that in the coming months there will be a wave of pokebaby with the names of the most famous characters in the game. Roselia, for example, (which is the character we see below) has risen 5,859 in popularity since last year.

According to the historical trend, choosing the name of the baby has always been linked to today, to actors or famous people at a particular moment in history, and without a doubt Pokemon is being a phenomenon of our day.

A phenomenon to which many future parents are hooked, so I'm sure that the best-known characters will head the list of names that will be a trend in 2017. Would you give your baby a Pokémon name?
